APS / Anti Phospholipid Syndrome >>

Sometimes called Hughes-syndrome, is an autoimmune, hypercoagulable state caused by antiphospholipid antibodies. APS provokes blood clots (thrombosis) (10 times higher change) in both arteries and veins as well as pregnancy-related complications such as miscarriage, stillbirth, preterm delivery, and severe preeclampsia.

Often APS combined with SLE (lupus) and Sjögren's Syndrome.

Symptoms

  • problems with speech, words can't be found

Wrong diagnosis

There are many people which have received a misdiagnosis. After several years APS / Hughes syndrome is diagnosted

In a book by Professor Hughes: "The brain and other animal" he calls this misdiagnosis: epilepsy, weak legs, Multiple Sclerosis, migraine, difficulties finding words, loss of taste, mad cow disease, St. Vitus Dance, Parkinson's, personality disorder, 'heart attack', Addison disease, severe leg pain, swollen legs, foot pain, abdominal pain, back pain, many miscarriages etc.
